One of the most exciting spots of the day, Washington Street is where students gather to cheer on the marathon runners as they pass through campus. Lined with crowds, music, and nonstop energy, it becomes the heart of the celebration and one of the best places to experience the excitement of Marathon Monday up close.
Forest Hall is where our day began, a cozy, familiar spot where we all met up in a friend’s suite to get ready for everything ahead. Music was playing, we were dancing, and the energy was already building as we got into the Marathon Monday spirit together before heading out.
Valentine Drive was the perfect mid-day stop, with free food available and plenty of space to relax and recharge. It was a great place to take a break, grab something to eat, and spend time with friends before heading off to the next part of the day’s festivities.
The Athletic Center was the hub of the night’s energy, hosting the spring concert featuring SoFaygo and bringing everyone together after a full day of activities. Packed with students and excitement, it was the perfect place to keep the momentum going and end the day on a high note with music and friends.
Arnow Quad was the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day, where we spread out blankets on the grass and relaxed after everything. Surrounded by friends and familiar faces, it felt like a calm, happy close to a full day, just laying outside, talking, and reminiscing on the day together.
VanWinkle Hall is where the day both began and ended, serving as home base throughout Marathon Monday. I started the morning here before heading out to meet friends and take part in the day’s events, and later returned after everything had wrapped up to enjoy doordash burger king.
