Realistic human heart anatomy diagram showing labeled major arteries, veins, and chambers. Educational medical illustration highlighting heart structure and blood flow pathways.
The body's largest artery. Oxygen-rich blood leaves the left ventricle, arches through here, and travels out to every organ - the branches at the top feed the head and arms.
The upper-right receiving chamber. Oxygen-poor blood returns from the body and collects here, then drops into the right ventricle to be sent to the lungs.
The heart muscle has its own blood supply. These surface vessels wrap around and feed it - when one narrows or blocks, that's a heart attack.
The heart's powerhouse. Its thick muscular wall squeezes oxygen-rich blood out through the aorta to the whole body - the strongest of the four chambers.
Chest pain, breathlessness, or a racing heart are worth taking seriously. A check-up and knowing your numbers go a long way.
